It has three layers of old recycled sarees stitched together with thousands of delicate fine running kantha stitches. Two good condition fabric are placed on both side of quilt and small pieces of fabric are places in between making a three layer quilt, if both sides of fabric is thick then the third layer is not put inside. Each vintage sari fabric has been washed before making the quilt and has not been used in its kantha throw form.
