I put them on to sleep in the first night I arrived at my camping spot. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they fit just right. I never even tried them on at all before I left on my trip. I literally took them out of the packaging and and stuffed them in my backpack the day of. I am 5′ 7″ 180lbs and they fit just right. They were surprisingly soft and very comfortable, considering they are wool. In fact I kept them on underneath my regular clothes for the remainder of the trip. I was surprised how thin the material was, just as thin as a cotton tshirt would be or maybe just a tad thinner. They provided the warmth and comfort I expected. I will want to try out at least the top for a winter hike, as I sweat quite a bit even on winter hikes, to test the moister wicking aspect. There was absolutely no bad smell to them as other reviews I read state, even after 2 days. I washed them after my trip in accordance with the recommended washing tips for wool clothing, and they look and feel just as day one. All in all I was very pleased with the product even though the price was slightly higher than what I think something like this should cost.
