The additional height of the elastic waist is very comfortable. The fit is perfect and the overall comfort and usability is exceptional (hence, the title). The current pricing puts each pair at just over $7 each. What a find these are. The reviews are spot on. I was so impressed, I bought a second set of 5. What arrived was exactly the same quality as the first. As an older man, I purchased the solid colors only, but the ones with designs and stripes look really good. If I had any reservations for this product, it would be for the pockets. They are mesh, which may not be bad and could very well be better than standard fabric pockets. They are also a bit shallow, thinking about how large current phones are, but my phone never fell out while wearing the shorts. Even while sitting.
