Without the modification, the headboard or footboard may not be properly aligned with the bed frame or may be too loose, which could lead to instability and potential safety risks. Therefore, using a modification plate or bracket is essential to ensure the safety and stable. 1. Remove the existing headboard or footboard (if applicable) from the bed frame. 2. Place the modification plate or bracket onto the bed frame where the headboard or footboard will be attached. Make sure that it is centered and level. 3. Insert the bolts provided with the modification plate or bracket through the holes on the plate and into the corresponding holes on the bed frame.
